On March 17th, 2020, Bank of America Vice Chairman Keith Banks wisely said on CNBC’s Squawk Box, “The reality is, it's time in the market, not timing the market.” Warren Buffet, one of the greatest investors of all time, is quoted as saying, “Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” This quote reflects the foundational basis of his investment philosophy. And finally, our favorite Warren Buffet quote references the psyche of investing, as he stated, “The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.” When your psyche is challenged by the volatility in the markets, keeping it all in perspective can be tough at times.
